Reviews & Acceptable Use Policy

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience with the kitchen, order or service being reviewed.

The following are prohibited:

• fake reviews;
• reviews submitted by someone pretending to be a customer;
• competitor-generated reviews;
• reviews generated primarily to artificially change a rating;
• purchased reviews or review manipulation; and
• incentivised reviews that conceal the incentive.

Where a review has legitimately been incentivised, that fact must be clearly disclosed where the review is permitted.

ChowMeister may prohibit particular forms of incentivised review entirely.

ChowMeister may use automated and manual methods to identify suspicious reviews and may request information that helps establish whether a review reflects a genuine experience.

We may remove or restrict reviews that breach this policy.

We will not remove a genuine negative review merely because it is critical or because the kitchen disagrees with it.

Content must not:

• be knowingly false or misleading;
• contain unlawful threats or harassment;
• be discriminatory or hateful;
• publish another person's private data;
• infringe intellectual-property rights;
• contain malicious software or links;
• make fabricated allegations of criminal or regulatory conduct; or
• be wholly unrelated to the relevant ChowMeister experience.

Users must not:

• place fraudulent or fake orders;
• abuse refunds or chargebacks;
• circumvent account restrictions;
• impersonate another user or business;
• attempt to access another person's account;
• scrape or extract Platform data without permission;
• probe, attack or interfere with Platform security;
• interfere with normal operation of ChowMeister; or
• use the Platform for illegal activity.

Sellers must not pressure customers to remove genuine negative reviews, retaliate against reviewers or condition refunds that are otherwise due on removal of a review.

Sellers may report content they reasonably believe breaches this policy.

Depending on the seriousness and frequency of a breach, ChowMeister may:

• remove content;
• restrict review functionality;
• issue warnings;
• restrict accounts;
• suspend kitchens;
• terminate accounts; or
• preserve or disclose information where lawfully required.
